Bieber Assaults Limo Driver

As if the news about Justin Bieber racing a Lamborghini while driving under the influence earlier this month wasn't enough, now new charges have been pressed against the star. According to a Canadian limousine driver, Justin Bieber struck him in the back of his head several times during an argument on the way back from a nightclub to a hotel. The limousine driver claims that he got out and called the police after it happened, but Justin had already left by the time they arrived. Bieber is now scheduled to appear in a Toronto courtroom on March 10th. These series of events in this short time frame is an interesting way to start off the new year. Time will tell what kind of person Justin Bieber is creating for himself.

Japanese Fishermen Slaughter Dolphins

On Tuesday Japanese fisherman killed dozens of dolphins that were hunted in the Taiji cove even though there have been numerous protests from the west against this kind of action. To hide what they were doing from the activists and journalists, the fishermen used a blue tarpaulin that partly hid them. This is something that Japanese fisherman have been doing every year. Some of the dolphins are sold to marine parks while others are killed and used for meat, and the remaining are released. The way in which the dolphins are handled is very inhumane. It's interesting with the concept of hunting to determine when it is okay to hunt and when it is considered morally wrong to kill these animals or take them from their natural habitats.

Brain Dead Woman Kept Alive Due To Pregnancy

At fourteen weeks pregnant, Marlise Munoz was found lying on the kitchen floor unconscious in the middle of the night by her husband, Erick. The hospital informed him that she was brain dead. It has been seven weeks since and the hospital has kept her alive in hopes that she will still deliver the baby. Her family doesn't want her to remain on life support, but it would be against the Texas Advance Directives Act to take her off. It will be interesting to see what happens with this case, and if the baby will be delivered and healthy.

Syrian Electronic Army Hacks Skype's Twitter

Skype's Twitter account was hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army to accuse Microsoft, the company's owner, of colluding with governments to share user data. When Skype regained control of its account it didn't deny what it was accused of posted a vague apology for being hacked. Last year Microsoft was already called out for conspiring with the National Security Agency and its prism surveillance program. It's scary how much information is being inspected without our knowledge. With the internet being used by practically everyone, it's an easy way for to be on the lookout. It will be interesting to see how people respond to this invasive move.

$636 Million Jackpot!

The second biggest prize in US history, after the record $656 million jackpot, was won in Chicago after buying a lottery ticket last minute Tuesday morning after a spike in sales ahead of the drawing. Over the weekend there had been 20% more chances sold than expected. Winning an enormous amount of cash such as this also brings an enormous responsibility and time of serious decision making of what all should be done with such a magnificent load of cash. Sometimes people find themselves giving so much that they find themselves more overwhelmed than before.

2 Million Stolen Passowrds

Thousands of infected computers leaked their collected data of passwords from websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google, making two million stolen passwords now a matter of public record. This could potentially cause all sorts of dangerous happenings for those whose passwords are out there for anyone to see. This could be especially harmful for those people who use the same password for everything, such as their bank account. Facebook claims that it is not a fault of theirs by any means, and that this is definitely a problem in devices.
